++ the future of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones ++

++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++  #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

    Yes it does. Microsoft doesnt want windows mobile. They have abandoned their users. Its not your fault to be disappointed or angry, but it is if you honestly think it's ever coming back. 

    The idea if having a phone/folding tablet with a full version of Windows is just plain stupid. Thats the surface product. 

    Latest rumor is some half hearted Android phone from Microsoft. Who would buy this? A so so phone with Microsoft fairly terrible launcher? 

    Look in this community. Part of it is goung to be administered by by a third party. 

    The next thing coming is a yearly subscription to the OS. 

    So bad hardware, poor software, and iffy support is what is in store. Get out when you can. I hope you make the leap ti Android, as its just fantastic. If you choose to stay, thats on on you.

    • Nokia cannot win without a distinctive OS ecosystem, now they are competing with Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, Sony, Vivo, Oppo, ZTE on the android platform // maybe it has been a mistake to buy Nokia, because so Nokia disappeared gradually from the Windows platform, nevertheless at the time of the acquisition it has been a former market leader, with a rapidly declining share

    ++ btw Microsoft has bought & developed further only the Lumia line (Windows Mobile) with great performance improvements & they tried to compete with // apple // & they have hit only the post // the idea was not bad, they have to compete // if they fall 7 times, then they have to rise at least 8 times // that is the way & if you give 7+ billion for a brand than keep it, because the market changes & there are millions of fans of the OS waiting for the right moment //

    May someone correct me, if I'm wrong, but, I am sure Microsoft doesn't lack the science to make a flawless mobile phone. All they have to do is to know where tomorrow is. Apple knew where tomorrow is and has beaten them to the trillion dollar company title, thanks to their successful iPhone mobile. Abandoning Windows mobile, without another better mobile option, will soon hit back with a very negative big bang.

    • you can learn from critics, but some Microsoft Lumia devices are working really well, have the best user interface, competitive security, stellar integration with Windows PCs. Of course it is annoying when you do not get what you want from a purchased device (but that thing it was true also for flagships of the competition that were slowing down or have had overheating issues or security issues). Outlook will recover (in its really weak days sometimes the synchronization process occurred with great delays, but it works really well now - if it crashes then restart it, even the best F1 engines crash sometimes )

    ++ I have seen recently some pictures of the MS CEO with an android device & it was not a perfect match & if he is honest to himself, he can say that he has had better //

    +++ yes maybe if this community has had the support of the Visual Studio Community then fewer problems were left unanswered.
