++ the future of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones ++

I have been a loyal MS Mobile for years starting with Mobile 6.x on a Motorola Q9c and currently Mobile 10 on a Lumia 735. I would love to see the Lumia line move forward, but neither MS nor the app development community seems willing to put skin in the game and here, in the USA, I don't find carriers interested in phones with the OS.

I have recently been seeking support for email issues that have appeared out of the blue and have found the very same problem among other Lumia owners with different models. The pattern indicates a systemic problem within the OS, but MS has essentially turned a blind eye to support questions of many sorts from what I can see which is somewhat understandable given their recent end-of-support announcements for the mobile OS.

Support for a Lumia future is inseparable from support for the OS. If we have the latter, we won't have the former.

I think the mistakes MS have made in Mobile (and in other consumer hardware they have attempted) are deep routed in the consumer psyche at this point and will not be turned around with product improvements or 'new' versions.  

++ I have still in mind the real danger posed by some flagship devices of the competition some years ago (overheating beyond limits) & now they have made their way to the company store // so problems can be solved, if there is the required will // the stock market is in a bull stage, the cloud based services also having their boom, but market trends probably will change in the future & if the company wants to compete with its rivals to be & remain a 1 trillion company, then it will need Windows Mobile as a service // the fundamental problem is that the mobile platform is not a priority (although the company has the synergy with UWP & in a decade there will be a 4 billion + smartphone market ) //

• it is quite disappointing to have this issue of plummeting market share, but at the moment even at the global market we (the users) are maintaining a solid 0.18% share & I am convinced that in the home market of Microsoft it is above 0.5%. // this reminds me the movie "Fun with Dick and Jane" (2005) with Jim Carrey & his optimism for a falling company //
• Windows 10 mobile is extraordinary, it is a great product & for this reason is my support constant for the development of this mobile experience. Microsoft Lumia has to be the leader, which shows the way for other OEMs that it is possible & it is worth it // "Eppur si muove" in Galilei's words //

• the Kantar data is in my post from July 17 & it covers data from March 2018 via GSM arena // sometimes you can access Statista data free & in this case the data shows 0.8% market share for April 2018.

I cannot access the Statista data because I will not pay $49 a month just for that. The Kantar report from here:

shows 1.3% share for Windows in the US in June 2017 and 0.1% in June 2018. I think you might be looking at the wrong year when you are claiming over 1% in the US, which was one of the weakest markets for Windows phones globally anyway.
