++ the future of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones ++

++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++  #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

    ++ you missed the thread CFORDG ++ your great answer has its place in the Surface line threads (your finding is obviously the SURFACE DUO) ++ if you want access to the majority of apps, then go the Android way ++ I am staying on the Windows 10 mobile ship & waiting from reinforcements from the brave CEO & other heroes from Microsoft (your Surface Duo hardly will achieve Windows 10 mobile's 2-3% market share in the US or its double digit results in some important European markets)

    PS : discontinued means simply discontinued (until better market conditions, better visions & so on) //

    • Windows (10 mobile) store has plenty of city + town + village building  games & they are very recent (2017, 2018):  e.g. from Gameloft or Sparkling Society ++ just enter in the Windows store search box the keywords & you can be a city manager or entrepreneur & build the city of your dreams ++ sounds great, so give it a try ++

    PS: if Windows 10 mobile receives monthly updates marked with 06B or 07B, then maybe an A version can exist somewhere ++ furthermore the thousands of apps that have been developed for Windows Mobile contribute  to a decent net worth for the OS ecosystem ++

    • as long as the hardware resists, even outdated Windows Mobile devices can act as part of an extended dual (or triple or quadruple SIM) (cross-platform) communications system for the users ++ so the users can appreciate the strengths of the OS & dodge other domains where they feel shortcomings ++
