++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++  #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

    • Table Tennis 3D still offers great playing experience for different Windows Phone versions ++ also there is Chess Lv.100 for chess enthusiasts ++ Daimler AG is in partnership with Microsoft via MS Azure ++ Lumia Support YouTube channel is deactivated ++ the games have also multiplayer experience, but sometimes finding another player is a lengthy experience (still, both games train your thinking skills & demonstrate once again that the work of the developers should be saved for Windows (10) Mobile) ++

    • recently have spotted a Renault F1 car made from Lego blocks & this inspired some thoughts that maybe in this year's Build meeting we will see some hope rising for Windows Mobile ++ #Microsoft F1 & of course Qualcomm F1 still is much appreciated //

    • weakening effects of Windows Mobile retirement:
    • discontinuing the natural evolution of Windows Mobile after the 5,6,7,8,8.1 & 10 editions
    • condemning the mobile OS world market to a weak duopoly & on some markets quasi monopoly, thus reducing incentives for innovation, price, product & costumer satisfaction competition

    +  causing ICT havoc for millions of enthusiastic Windows fans. In many epic movies the hero emerges from the brink of collapse & saves the day ++ so the right choice here is to demonstrate for users that they never have to regret using Windows Mobile

    • Microsoft Mobile is stronger with a strong Windows Mobile arm & can successfully approach & maintain a higher stock market valuation ++ it is a false spring to think that the company is most valuable in the world if downplays Windows Mobile (the competition has made mistakes & there is a trade dispute going on) //

    93tid The Microsoft announcement that they are abandoning the mobile platform will drive the prices down. Duh. Its simple market.

    I am extremely disappointed with Microsoft!!!! Just when they got the platform strategy fixed, they bail. The Windows 10 mobile offers opportunity to grow. Why bail now? 

    Market share?  There is an extremely loyal following to the Windows phone. The phone is a stable device offering telephone, internet, email, GPS, camera. True, the apps are fewer, but there are improvements.  (It seems programmers of apps have been confused about the direction of the operating system, as well.) Now it is fixed. 

    Can Microsoft sell the Windows Phone business to a smaller, more agile organization? I'm listening ...

    FIND NEW MARKETS!! Do you want young hipsters as customers, or security minded entrepreneurs, professionals, retirees, who need reliable communication devices that integrate with their business systems and more - look at the segments.  The answer is in there.

    Who wants to be an Apple or Alphabet?  I shudder at the thought of going to either.
