The UWP is a platform, and in many cases the apps are exactly the same on desktop and on phone. If you use Continuum then it also scales the same way like on desktop. So after more than a year the OS support may end, but plenty UWP apps will be sill in top shape.

No. But releasing bug fixes to fix something broken by the previous month's "fix" only to have it broken again the following month to be fixed again one month later is hardly a glowing recommendation either - especially when it's the same OEM for both hardware and OS.

I generally try to resist, however on rare occasions I can't help myself from responding to the incoherent nonsense sometimes posted in this thread, especially when the same false premises are repeated over and over and over and over again.

The fact that W10M requires more patches and bug fixes than the competition is not something to consider an advantage.

as a regular customer it is only short sightedness to envy the fail of one of the competitors!
