- some encouraging reading for Windows Mobile users : https://www.theverge.com/2018/4/7/17206174/microsoft-windows-phone-influence-editorial ++ especially Windows 10 mobile users can differentiate between end of support vs extinction ++ end of support drives us into uncharted territory & on that field anything revolutionary can happen : just do not forget from Azure comes our snow the Lumia ++
++ the future of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones ++
++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++ #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

2019-04-20T21:34:51+00:00 - smartphones, which maintain their functionality for at least 5 years have to be considered sustainable & resistant devices ++ I really hope that you can perform the #10yearChallenge with your Lumia ++ once I have compared Microsoft Lumia to the International Space Station, which is formed from modules ++ I think many essential features of a Lumia phone can resist beyond 2021 ++ official monthly security & non-security updates support (as it stands now) will be available only through December 2019 & backups will work at least until March 2020 ++ there are good chances that important apps will be in top shape at least through 2020 ++ obviously you will need backup batteries, because these will weaken after 3 years of usage (it is like a trip to a distant planet & hopefully it is not an one way ticket & it is better than to the moon & back) ++ making phone calls, messaging, taking photos & videos, surfing the net, learning, getting news & being on top of events it is certainly possible with Microsoft Lumia even after 10 years ++ Windows Phone Lumia Denim 8.1s are still functional (support has ended more than 2 years ago) & I have spotted also Windows Phone 7s still running ++
++ some developers are trying to install & run full Windows 10 ARM on Lumia devices & they may get a breakthrough ++
++ if this was a case study & I should decide what action to take from the company's perspective : well, then I would roll out an even better Windows Mobile OS & would upgrade to that all devices running the Anniversary Update 1607 (or at least version 1709) & bring to the market new updated devices for the Windows Mobile Community & would begin a slow, but steady process to be the most important mobile device for Windows users ++
++ it is very important for the company to get the continuity issue right, because if they give up, it will be more difficult to convince users later in time (if some day, maybe under a new leadership they want to come back into the market) ++ I am convinced that, if the present leadership wants to learn from mistakes, they can do a better job than in the past & be successful ++

2019-04-20T19:30:32+00:00 I'm gonna ignore the highway system thing, but Walmart has many, many competitors, Meijer's, Publix, Giant Eagle, Cosco, and Kroger. Then Best Buy, Target, and more. But guess what? Amazon is hurting all of them, plus all the Malls in the US, I see malls struggling where I live. Kroger is worried about amazon hurting them, I know cause I work there.
Also google being evil is my opinion and I'd rather not debate about that or my reasons for it.
But back to my last question, how long can I hold on to my Lumia 950 xl? 2030?

2019-04-15T23:23:54+00:00 + you can use the performant MS edge browser on your phone (maybe you will find third party solutions in the MS store as well )
P.S. the entire FB app family will take a brake, except for WhatsApp (for now) ++ I am not very affected because on mobile did not use the FB app & on desktop mostly for market research purposes ++ let us not forget that there are more than 42 million followers to the Microsoft Lumia FB account, which shows the extraordinary potential of a great tech ecosystem ++ a cause is lost, until it is found or won ++
++ I am really happy to see that there are initiatives to support Windows 10 mobile on Microsoft Community, Change.org, Twitter, MS Forms and other platforms ++ I advise you to be active & start initiatives ++ you have to be able to wait if these initiatives can achieve traction & you need to search for our fragmented & discouraged user base ++ e.g. if you enter on twitter search the keywords "Windows Phone" or Windows 10 mobile" or "Lumia" you can find many brave users & you can post your petition links to them & they can sign it as well ++ my opinion is that in order to have the best outcome initiatives have to be launched on Microsoft Community, MS Feedback Hub & CHANGE.ORG ++ you have to take your time & do not be discouraged by the difficult start ++

2019-04-15T17:08:05+00:00 Dear Chriskagundaa,
I'm just saying that we some people of the remaining market members of windows phone wants to try our best to continue working with it.
On the other hand, we believe in the prestige of Microsoft that we know they will not leave us alone just they need to hear our strong worries & ideas to support us.
Thanks a lot
