• it is a great thing that // rbasin // still tests a great Lumia (btw let's hope the advanced cooling system still works). Today I have learned that the initial plan was to reach 15% market share by the end of 2018 (well approximately 1% has been achieved from that goal).

++ it could be that the new leadership is not committed to the future of Windows Mobile ++ that would be a great mistake. Now stocks are up, but there is the biggest bull market in history & when the bear market comes maybe it will not be such a great picture //

++ CEO Ballmer has increased profitability & that is an important indicator, so again could be that he is right, that we need more than cloud to be competitive on planet Earth. // there has to be a continuity between the CEOs, the new can learn from the past & make things better // 

++ I once have heard, that in order to be effective, the constitution has to live in the hearts and minds of the citizens ++ so, if Windows 10 mobile is an important part of our Mobile Constitution, then the fans have to protect it in this existential time for its future //

• maybe it will be Windows Core OS, but development is constant & fluent design comes to Xbox. Congrats !! // 
• there is a new sheriff in town : the updates for the MSN news family , the Office apps family & the consolidating monthly update are rolling out //
• from a profitability point-of-view the company has to see if there is demand for a mobile devices line & to correlate the supply with that demand in a dynamic way. Of course, there are different segments of the user base & maybe a product is not suitable for some potential users, but Windows Phone enthusiasts can embrace a step by step development process, that in the long run can close the app gap & the rest of problems //

As some of you may know, "Andromeda" is the suggested code name for the next phase of the Windows OS. It seems to be designed to be based on a core ARM architecture which is fairly flexible as it seems to use general core that modules can be added to depending on a variety of factors.

Within the link is an article detailing a proposed folding mobile device which will be telephony capable; the telephony capacity seems secondary to the design and intended use although such a view may be splitting hairs in this discussion. Also note the current thought of the $1000 USD price point which says to me that the burgeoning cell markets outside of the US and EU are not the intended targets so much as established business locations and their employees and owners.

If this or something like it is the direction MS is taking, I think that's further proof that long discussions about Windows 10 mobile are fruitless.
