++ the future of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones ++

++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++  #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

    • even on Microsoft Community there are many + comments that praise the amazing Windows Mobile platform ++ rarely we can see even Windows Phone 7.X in action ++ over 110 million Lumias running various Windows Mobile versions have been manufactured & I would estimate that over 50% of them are in working condition ++ there are over 42 million fb followers for Microsoft Lumia ++ the 0.1% market share (accounting approximately for 2.5 million active users) is only the tip of the iceberg & the company will realize this one day (hope they do not make the irreversible mistake of the Titanic) //

Mobile platform: Droid, Iphone, W10 Mobile.

    All together hardly negligible.

If MS forces us to use those devices, we may need UWP there too. IMO: Xamarin is messy.

UWP has already 7 legs, losing the weakest one is hardly going to make any difference, especially as it has already gone in all but name with no observable ill effects.
