++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++  #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

    Lumia sales IN Nigeria dropped as they didn't quickly switch to android phones. This is because they relied heavily on microsoft. The lesson is that manufacturers should always monitor trends

    • in early September, MICROSOFT THE MUSICAL is making waves on YouTube & acknowledges also the existence of Windows Phone (with the comment that it is not well-known in the majority of the world smartphone market & obviously not well-known among the singing interns as well ) ++ but a struggling challenge can be transformed into a success story (if the company invests some perseverance, e.g. Windows Vista has been only a step in the development process of a more performant Windows) //

    Again??

    A reference to a current article about how great things might have been seems to overlook the 2nd sentence:

    "In 2017, HP cancelled its plans to build new Windows Phone due to Microsoft’s disinterest in its own mobile platform."

    The proposed subject of this discussion was the future of Lumia cell products - which I think has been answered.

    The future?

    My best guess is the speculation that a lower-end cell retailing for about $25 USD will begin see increasing use in developing parts of the world. Guess what? They won't be WINDOWS phones and MS doesn't care.
