++ the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumia mobile phones is discontinued, but many of them are still in action and competitive. In my opinion, the timing for their launch alongside the first versions of Windows 10 mobile has been a problem (later versions of Windows 10 mobile are more competitive). I compare the path of Microsoft Lumia phones with the path of Mercedes F1 Team. If you have perseverance, you can win, but you need to have realistic intermediary goals. You must not be number one from the start, but rather be on the field, with competitive, distinctive devices (1% market share can be achieved with the core fans of Microsoft Windows). 1% is not a small number of users & translates to even more when we focus on Windows users. So my question is for Microsoft & fans // is it possible to continue the manufacturing process of Microsoft Lumias for the fans of the brand & Windows ? // ++  #theWindowsthatneversleeps +

    Sorry to disappoint, but this is simply not true. Support ended on October 9th 2018 as planned. As usual, I always provide links to official sources of information, so here's the link to the official Microsoft Support page:

    Microsoft ended support on October 9, 2018 for the following editions which were released in August 2016 (version 1607):

    • Windows 10 Mobile
    • Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise

    This means that users are no longer eligible to receive new security updates, non-security updates, or free assisted support options. Customers who contact Microsoft Support will be directed to update to the latest versionof Windows 10 Mobile to remain supported.

    Has it? I believe some people have to contact Microsoft support, and attempt to get those folders back. 

    Another problem that shouldn't have happened.

    She had to sign in with her brand new gmail account. So that took all of a minute. No "just finishing up" messages. No no bone crushing wait for the OS to finish updating. But she did that all by her self. 

    She did need help in figuring out what hardware was best for her. She picked up the Pixel 2 and Pixelbook.

    Her subscription to Office runs out in a few days (she already cancelled), tranferred her folders from Onedrive to Google Drive, setup her printer. 

    So proud of her! 😁
