What i did was the app reset. Now its nowhere . Not in Cortana, Apps and Features, etc. I ran the troubleshooter from Microsoft. both inbuilt and the one downloaded from MS. And I can get this message " you need a new app to open this ms-windows-store. "

Is it completely gone? or can I reregister it ?

I think I must agree when the problem is most severe a clean install is the only recourse -- but 221 people found Da Costa's answer to be helpful. And I think an upgrade/repair-install (as I posted on page 12) worth a try too.

    There is an online Store...

Microsoft Store Online -- or so it appears

Bit I can't find the Store app itself to be a download there.

The only solution to get the Store App back into Windows 10 is to backup your personal files onto an external or second internal drive then reinstall Windows 10 from scratch.

Fresh install using a Flash Drive from the link below:

4 years later and this thread is still active. I've never seen anything like it in all my years using Microsoft products.

It does get a tad boring after some years have passed with no apparent fix.

At least I didn't get here till late August of 2020. That's less than a year.
