Microsoft Store app missing.

What i did was the app reset. Now its nowhere . Not in Cortana, Apps and Features, etc. I ran the troubleshooter from Microsoft. both inbuilt and the one downloaded from MS. And I can get this message " you need a new app to open this ms-windows-store. "

 Is it completely gone? or can I reregister it ?

    The upgrade/repair install I suggested on page 12 will keep everything intact -- apps, files & settings. Currently, what you download from the site will be Windows version 2004. So, if your currently installed version is lesser than that, you get upgraded. Otherwise, you get repaired. See your current version at "START, Settings, System, About".

    If you get upgraded (& things seem worse), you may undo it at "START, Settings, Update & Security, Recovery, Get Started (under 'Go back to previous version of Windows 10'"...

    But it lasts only 10 days. Also, it isn't available after a repair (just after an upgrade).

    So -- make a Windows system image backup first. That lasts forever as a means to restore Windows to before the upgrade or repair. Want instructions? You should be doing that anyway.

    Speaking with Lenovo tech support, I was told that the only thing to do is refresh Windows 10 (or reinstall it), two different processes. I did not resolve the problem because I was not willing to lose all my installed programs in the process. I am living without the Store.

    Why can't MS get it right with updates? The last one lost my printer and gives error to add app but stops there. Even MS Store is missing?  It seems like its time to go all Apple all the time.
