Sometimes I get a message saying 'Updates were installed. Select this message to learn more.' I select the message in question and get another message saying 'No updates have been installed yet.'! Great! It is like a joke
Exactly!! That's another thing that irritates me so much about these forced updates--the multitude of tech issues with almost every single update makes me wonder if Microsoft is even testing these updates at all before they force them on us. It comes across like Microsoft is using us as their captive group of testers, against our wills and without compensation. At the very least it is extremely immoral and unethical, and it may also be another Civil Rights Violation. Add to this the facts that the average computer user doesn't know how to fix these issues and many of them end up having to pay yet another entity to fix what Microsoft messed up. This makes Microsoft's actions all the more immoral and unethical, and increases the probability that their actions are Civil Rights Violations. I truly am NOT a conspiracy theorist--I generally despise wild speculation and conspiracy theories. But, these points really cause me to wonder if there are any "under the table" dealings between Microsoft and the 3rd party tech support entities with possible bonus kickbacks to Microsoft from the tech support entities if Microsoft keeps tech issues in the OS and updates.
