I have track numbers in front of some of my song names (not title) in my music libarary. How do I get rid of them. They are not in the "name" in WMP. I try to right click and rename and that doesn't work. I try going through properties into details and delete numbers in front of name, but it doesn't stay changed. Tried to edit in WMP and that doesn't work. Nothing I do permenantly changes the name (not title).

2018-02-19T18:09:44+00:00 Thanks - this is certainly a bit unusual. Usually mp3 and WMA properties can be edited by the methods you have used. Using a copy of 'Proud Mary' - try altering the properties to those I have given to my version and see if it sticks.... Just the details as shown - if it changes back we'll try something different.

The other is an mp3 and again....title is just name of song, no number. Now.....under general tab, at the top it has number in front of song name with mp3 sign in front of box and same with wma.
