I have track numbers in front of some of my song names (not title) in my music libarary. How do I get rid of them. They are not in the "name" in WMP. I try to right click and rename and that doesn't work. I try going through properties into details and delete numbers in front of name, but it doesn't stay changed. Tried to edit in WMP and that doesn't work. Nothing I do permenantly changes the name (not title).

Morning Ric. When i go to wmp, organize, manage libraries, pictures......it then lists 4 places. They are all c:.....duh.....but question is. Theres 2 picture locations and i don,t know which on is wmp. They are: c: Users, janet, pictures.........or c:, users,public,pictures. (I had to use commas instead of back slash cause my phone doesn,t have a backslsh that i can find) i am guessing that the "public" is the one in wmp???
Hi Janet - What will happen here is you'll see everything disappear from the WMP library and it will then gradually rebuild - how long depends on how much data needs reloading. One tip - before doing this if you don't use WMP to view pictures (I know nobody who does!) remove 'Pictures' from the library and that will seriously reduce the time it takes to reload.
To remove 'Pictures' go to WMP - Organize - Manage Libraries - Pictures... Highlight the 'Pictures' folder and select 'Remove' - 'OK' - again this won't affect/delete any of your files.
Then to rebuild the whole WMP library select 'Tools' (see image below if you are not seeing 'tools' and use the second arrow/r-click method) - Advanced - Restore Media Library. If duplicates reappear after doing this we'll need to look at other possibilities but this is the best first step.
