I deleted them.
track numbers in front of song names in windows music library, windows 7
I have track numbers in front of some of my song names (not title) in my music libarary. How do I get rid of them. They are not in the "name" in WMP. I try to right click and rename and that doesn't work. I try going through properties into details and delete numbers in front of name, but it doesn't stay changed. Tried to edit in WMP and that doesn't work. Nothing I do permenantly changes the name (not title).
Help!!!!!!

2018-02-22T19:32:22+00:00 On reflection I should have also checked what you have showing under 'Organize 'Manage Libraries' - Music - you should really have just one or two locations (Music/ Public Music) - but the question is - is anything duplicated?! We'll tidy the library locations up next (if necessary)

2018-02-22T18:52:17+00:00 What I mean is have you started the restore process from Tools -Advanced - Restore Media Library - as detailed earlier? It will take a while as it sorts out volume levelling etc. Everything in your music (and video if applicable) folders should reappear over time... just leave it to get on with it.
