I agree.If Windows 10 is unable to update it would seem that the issues falls on MS shoulders. Asking the consumer to become an IT specialist is a stretch. Alas MS (and others) really just through issues against the wall in forums and see what sticks. Mo real direst help. Many have gone this route and many are losing share in the industry.Start chasing forum advice and soon you will be dizzy and exhausted and still the issue remains. Step up MS and show the consumer some REAL Customer service or just kick us to the curb as usual and whistle past the grave yard. Your call.

i have similar problem. I try to do the win update, but for the last 5 months and maybe more, every time it runs, at the end it will roll back.

In the history of updates it says it has failed by these updates with the error 0x800f0922:

KB4345421

KB4343909

KB4462919

KB4462933

Error 0x800f0922 occurs when downloading the newest update of Windows 10. It also means that you have less than 500 MB in system reserved partition. You may follow the methods provided below and check if you'll be able to update your device.

Method 1. Check your Internet connection

You need to make sure that you have an internet connection and if possible, you are using wired connections

Method 2. Check .NET Framework

Make sure you have the latest version of NET Framework installed. You may enable it in Windows features. Here's how:

Type Windows Features on the search bar and press Enter.

Select Turn Windows Features on or off.

Check any boxes related to DotNet Framework and save selection.

Restart your PC.

Method 3. Turn off your Firewall

We know that this is strange doing, but even Firewall can prevent updates occasionally. Here's how you can turn it off:

Type Firewall on the search bar and press Enter.

Open Turn Windows Firewall on or off.

Turn off Firewall for both private and public networks.

Save your selection.

After saving your selection, you may try updating your device.

1. The system reserve and recovery partition are two different things. The former is created during Windows installation and has a fixed drive space of 500mb in Windows 10. It contains the Boot Manager, Boot Configuration Data (both responsible for booting Windows 10), and the startup files used for BitLocker Drive Encryption. While the latter is created by the user or device manufacturer for recovery purposes in case of a serious system error. It usually contains the device drivers, software, and manuals.
2. Should you need more drive space for your recovery partition, by all means, you can increase it if you still have unallocated drive space left or by shrinking other drive partitions.

I tried to increase my recovery partition and EFI system partition cause of the mentions of low space using the MINI TOOL PARTITION WIZARD (see screenshot).

And it still rollbacked. Apparently this solution isn't working for me, so can anybody help me to solve this ? if some logs are needed please tell me where to find them and i'll post them here.

I am very frustrated as this is going on for the last 5 months. i desperately need a fix.

        As suggested above, I have tried all the above options, but not able to update Windows.

       I opened the Windows Features and did not find Dotnet file, but I did find .NET Framework and >NET framework 4.7(Advanced) files and checked them. After completion of the process, I got a message:-

      "Windows could not complete the required changes. Windows requires a reboot to return to original position"

      I tried it twice and everytime, I got the above message though I also turned the Firewall(Public and Private Firewall).

     The problem remains unchanged though the update is being downloaded automatically and subsequently reversed.

    Now I have got the new message" Your device is missing important security and quality fixes."

Perhaps it is for the above update.

So what do we do if the machine does NOT have a system partiton?
