Windows 10 update broke my computer?

I had more or less the same problem.  Only I had the option of roll back and windows 10 to vol 3, three times! None of those options worked either. I too had no restore points. If you know someone who can make you a boot drive and know how to do it, you might be lucky. If not you might need to spend money and get a computer geek near to you to do it. MS haven't a clue yet how to fix it.

Calling them will register it of course, but up until Monday, they had no idea how or when they could offer help. They will take you through a hard reset attempt, which is turning it on, and getting the blue option screen and taking the power cord out (If desktop) or battery if laptop. And holding down the power button for 30 seconds to drain any current from the system. Put battery back and turn on and see if it gives you a repair option. I did it three or four times and it didn't work, and ended up having to reinstall windows with my friends help, I lost all my files though.

I did update to get at the end a blue screen (is this the new blue screen of death?) telling me to continue to rollback or other options which I went through and nothing worked it would not rollback it would not boot up and when I eventually gave in and reinstalled windows it would not even let me keep me F*****G data.  This was last night I am so angry they have done this to me.  I am now trying to restore my data but this is not an easy task and I'm going to have to sift through so many files I'm not sure how far I'll get before I give up on the whole lot.  Angry beyond belief how dare they do this without a thought or warning. 

What is the update supposed to do anyway?  Probably just lock more things down and mean we have to change all the defaults again!  My pc is less than a year old.  There is no warning that there might be a problem I thought it was a regular update.

I am switching to Linux.

Yesterday (after having to reinstall win10) I went online and chatted to a techie to ask if I could now safely update.. He needed to remote access to find out if I could..It seems that my win was build #1603..

It must then be updated to either 1703 or 1709 BEFORE you can update to 1803 (The update that is killing PCs). The techie sorted it all out, having to delete certain win files etc before he could upload and the long install if 1703. It takes hours including 1803. 

After all that, there's a splash screen telling you it can do this that and the other, but I haven't elected any of it. Find out before you update what your build # is.

Just had a call. They are desperate to get this problem sorted, and seems it's their #1 prority right now. They're calling me back next monday..

Hahaha! Nice. They were desparate on 22nd of May? But still pushed it here on May 24th?

Hello. I'm quite unhappy with my entire experience. I have had to contact support multiple times because my computer "wasn't on the list" of computers able to run the latest updates. I find this incredibly ironic, as it has 8gb of ram, lots of disk space,  and a very nice processor (~2.6ghz). I have had my agents help me as much as they could, and that wasn't the bad part, they did great! For a day... Somehow, even after they went and did the whole thing about delaying updates for 8 months or so, The Windows 10 update installer app downloaded. It has hogged me for the past week, with me having to abort multiple updates, not wanting to lose my pc again. I am a student, and can not afford a new one, but just recently I gave up and let it update. It quit out halfway through, as usual, and went back to the same condition it was at. Nothing works.

This is not like last time, I had to get a Windows 10 system on a usb, and repair my boot loader last time. This time, Windows simply won't do anything. It's currently telling me the only option left is a hard reset.

I have physically tried everything besides a hard reset. I refuse. Why should I lose my personal belongings, when it's out of my control? This is not an issue with anything except Windows. What can be done about this? I am very disappointed in the fact this has ruined my computer, I really hope you can do something about this.

It broke mine too! I spent over a thousand dollars for it one month ago & now its a **** boat anchor. **** off and die Microsoft!!!
