Windows 10 update broke my computer?

Hello. I'm quite unhappy with my entire experience. I have had to contact support multiple times because my computer "wasn't on the list" of computers able to run the latest updates. I find this incredibly ironic, as it has 8gb of ram, lots of disk space,  and a very nice processor (~2.6ghz). I have had my agents help me as much as they could, and that wasn't the bad part, they did great! For a day... Somehow, even after they went and did the whole thing about delaying updates for 8 months or so, The Windows 10 update installer app downloaded. It has hogged me for the past week, with me having to abort multiple updates, not wanting to lose my pc again. I am a student, and can not afford a new one, but just recently I gave up and let it update. It quit out halfway through, as usual, and went back to the same condition it was at. Nothing works.

This is not like last time, I had to get a Windows 10 system on a usb, and repair my boot loader last time. This time, Windows simply won't do anything. It's currently telling me the only option left is a hard reset.

I have physically tried everything besides a hard reset. I refuse. Why should I lose my personal belongings, when it's out of my control? This is not an issue with anything except Windows. What can be done about this? I am very disappointed in the fact this has ruined my computer, I really hope you can do something about this.

    To support team:

    Why are you not immediately addressing the many issues with Windows 10 updates? My updates now appear uninstallable and have frozen my desktop! The cumulative update, which I am assuming is a fix to the previous updates, is plagued with errors that it will not even download properly. Since your updates are not reliable, we should have an option to uninstall or turn off updates without spending hours on google learning technical troubleshooting bypass techniques from other users who are not paid to troubleshoot your System. I have lost control of my computers to Windows 10 THAT DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. Just a very disappointed Windows 10 PC user venting hoping someone at Windows take charge of these issues or hire someone who can.

    It has been five months, they don't know how to fix it and in my case it overclocked my tower causing the mother board to melt down. I have to replace my tower but at this rate, Apple has few options for users like me who need usb drives and ports for shop work. Plus they keep slowing down their devices, Microsoft on the other hand has several options because windows is the standard but I am afraid to replace my tower because of what happened to my old one. There is no excuse for forcing updates, but Microsoft has decided that they need to do this no matter what cost actual customers have at the expense of very expensive computer equipment.

    This is a completely useless reply. If the update breaks my computers because windows messed with usb and other plug and play drivers reseting my pc will only work for a short period BECAUSE WINDOWS FORCES UPDATES IN WINDOWS 10! 

    Unbelievable service and support. I have spent a week trying to get my laptop functioning and have missed out on multiple assignments because of this "feature"

    Look on the bright side...MS are rolling out the latest 'update' in the next week or so, so we'll have even more reason to congratulate MS on how well they treat their CUSTOMERS (Remember those MS?) when their 'updates' mess up a perfectly functioning computer.

    I don't know if other are doing it but I've disabled updates, I know there's another major one in October and MS hasn't even bothered to write in a routine that checks to see if the bloatware has enough space on the HD before installing, yes really! The thing being, if it blocks up your computer and fails, you'll have a paperweight just like after 1803. How can a company be so arrogant and get away with it for so long? 

    I hope that MS top brass read these posts and not just the agents who trot out the party line saying how much they appreciate everyone's comments.
