Yup, I think they do, or at least they did. I had to have mine completely wiped. One of our IT guys at the school helped me recover the info from my laptop by taking the hard drive out and hooking it to another desktop computer just so that I could put everything on an external and put whatever I wanted back on my laptop and also have a backup of pictures and such. I was super upset, crying because I was also stressed out. My life was on there. Anyway, it appears that they knew about the problem and it continued. Some folks that had no idea, even went and bought new computers, made me kind of wonder. Microsoft is not the same, of course many companies are not the same any more. It worries me for our country that we are becoming an unmotivated people. I am old school, and what I am seeing coming out of our schools scares the crap out of me! I don't believe that Microsoft is the same company after Bill Gates stepped aside. Anyway, if you can get your info off your computer, you may have to do a clean swipe like I did.
Windows 10 update broke my computer?
Hello. I'm quite unhappy with my entire experience. I have had to contact support multiple times because my computer "wasn't on the list" of computers able to run the latest updates. I find this incredibly ironic, as it has 8gb of ram, lots of disk space, and a very nice processor (~2.6ghz). I have had my agents help me as much as they could, and that wasn't the bad part, they did great! For a day... Somehow, even after they went and did the whole thing about delaying updates for 8 months or so, The Windows 10 update installer app downloaded. It has hogged me for the past week, with me having to abort multiple updates, not wanting to lose my pc again. I am a student, and can not afford a new one, but just recently I gave up and let it update. It quit out halfway through, as usual, and went back to the same condition it was at. Nothing works.
This is not like last time, I had to get a Windows 10 system on a usb, and repair my boot loader last time. This time, Windows simply won't do anything. It's currently telling me the only option left is a hard reset.
I have physically tried everything besides a hard reset. I refuse. Why should I lose my personal belongings, when it's out of my control? This is not an issue with anything except Windows. What can be done about this? I am very disappointed in the fact this has ruined my computer, I really hope you can do something about this.

2019-03-24T08:19:14+00:00 I've had problems with my computer since the update a few days ago. After downloading, I just went to sleep, but after waking up, my computer had no internet access. It didn't recognize the wifi, or the flipping ethernet cable that was plugged right into the machine. I unplugged everything and dug out my old computer and it had zero problems, so it was something with my rig, not the internet, or the cables, or anything. After trying to hook it back up, now it was showing no signal on the monitor. I tried the TV, nothing, different monitors, still nothing. I hooked my sister's computer up to my TV and it was recognized in seconds. So again it's my rig that has an issue.
So now a computer that's less than a year old is unusable until I can somehow get it fixed. My computer was just fine until the update, so is this all a coincidence, or are the people at Microsoft really that incompetent to the point where they release these BS "updates" that do more harm than good?

2019-02-27T23:10:48+00:00 I've tried everything available to get my computer back after the February 26 2019 update. I'm resetting it for a second time although I'm not sure why. I'm desperate. When that fails, I'm going to see what sort of backup that I might have. This is horrible. I should have stayed away from windows 10 in the first place!

2019-01-30T05:52:21+00:00 I am so finished with Micro Soft, their Crappiest ever Windows 10! I have much better things to do with my life than waste days upon days trying to fix every computer, laptop and notebook FORCED to download this evil program. Virtual Support my ass......look for a virtual customer. MAC does not have these on-going issues. If I have to change computers believe me it won't have WINDOWS. When you manage to snag a real person it's suddenly my computers too old and they can't help. My laptops wifi adapter gone and MS just shrugs it's shoulders even though it was their forced upgrade that created this. I WILL NOT UP GRADE TO ANYTHING THAT REQUIRES MICROSOFT! Technology is imploding on itself. Thankfully I can easily go back to the way things were. CASH still talks everywhere.
