Got tired of wasting time trying to correct this problem.  Ended up doing an "In Place Upgrade" of my system and corrected all the problems.

I've got 12 GB of RAM and it still doesn't work. MS can't seriously expect us all to reformat or similar... :-( Most people are absolutely lost.

After the KB-4058258 update my main computer (Dell XPS 8700) no longer communicates with my other  windows 10 computers (also updated but working properly) on my ethernet network.  The reason seems to be that it now classifies those computers (and my WD Mycloud) as media devices instead of computers. They can see it, but it cannot see them, except as media devices. When the update first installed, in update history it said it needed a restart to complete the install.  It had been restarted, shut down and cold booted numerous times.

I went back to a restore point immediately before the update, and everything worked correctly again. Then, windows re-installed the KB 4058258 update, with no errors shown, and the network problems are back.

Is there a fix for this?

what the hell does error code 0x800f081f mean, sitting at installation error number 15 for update KB 4058258. Downloads update and installs to 100% then doesn't give me option for restart, but gives me option to retry. done this 15 times now.
