Any help?

Installed 4058258 on customer computer yesterday and initiated computer restart.

Now the computer is asking for a password, never required before.  Windows will not open so I can't uninstall this update.  Is there any way to uninstall update outside of windows.

This was installed to fix problems previously caused by 4056892.

It will not let me get to my settings, or my restart or shut down.

Thanks guys and dolls for all your help. I just took the bull by the horns and reformatted both my laptops and thanks to KB 4074588, NO more hell and drama of KB 4058258. Been a nightmare of a week for all with many sleepless nights, but all is rosy in my pc world again.

Thanks to all again, to those out there still battling, reformat with a clean install,  its a couple of hours and its done, where as with me, endless farting around for days trying all sorts of nonsense. KB 4074588 A LIFE SAVER.

Further to this, today's Cumulative Update 2018-02 (KB4074588) has installed successfully on my device with the "requires restart" error. However,

in updates history KB4058258 no longer shows "requires restart"  but instead "failed to install", with error 0x80070643. I note this is (still) listed under known issues for these recent updates, as a false report . Happy to assume all is actually now well, at least until 1803... happy enough not to contemplate reinstalling the OS, anyway.

what the hell does error code 0x800f081f mean, sitting at installation error number 15 for update KB 4058258. Downloads update and installs to 100% then doesn't give me option for restart, but gives me option to retry. done this 15 times now.
