Updated computer now Asus PCE AC68 will not work

I update to the latest version of windows 10 now my wireless network adapter will not work. I am currently use my iPhone usb hotspot to connect to the internet on my desktop. I have tried the latest driver updates and uninstalling and reinstalling. I have also tried a clean install. I have tried taking the Network adapter out and putting it back in. now I am stumped. I am getting error code 10. and when I try latest drivers it says that the latest drivers are already installed.

    One of the possible reasons why your network adapter won't work is due to corrupted system files on your computer. We recommend that you follow the troubleshooting steps provided on this article.

    Note: Follow the troubleshooting steps in order. We know that you have already performed some of the troubleshooting steps provided in the article, however it'd be best to repeat it; according to the steps provided.

    So that didnt work. I also tried manually deleting the files but that also did not work. Im stumped.

    Same problem. It is not corrupted drivers. If you go to the ASUS forums, you will see that MANY people are having the same issue.

    Same problem here.

    I made some investigation on two different computers with the same Asus Wifi card PCE-AC68.

    System 1:

    Mainboard:  Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3-AM3+

    Processor:  AMD Phenom II X6 1075T

    System 2

    Mainboard:  MSI H97M-E35

    Processor:  Intel CPU Core i3-4160 (1150)

    Fresh insalled W10 pro 1703, Asus driver installed, both computers have a functioning Wifi card.

    Fresh insalled W10 pro 1709, Asus driver installed,

    The intel system is okay, on the Amd system the card driver is not starting, code 10.

    Interesting.  Immediately after installing 1701 yesterday, my AMD system (8-core FX) code 10'd on the PCE-AC68 and I cannot get it back.  In device manager, all the information about the card drivers is correct.  The Oct 2017 drivers won't install using the ASUS utility, and neither the 2016 nor 2015 drivers work.

    Kind of sad, because prior to this update the card produced reliable fast connections to my access point over 200 ft away through three walls.

    I'll post the system characteristics as soon as I get back to it; obviously, one can't do research on a machine with no network connection to the outside world.
