Forgot to mention. Mother board is msi 970a-g46. Network adapter and graphics cards are the only things in a pci slot. The key board and mouse i mentioned are logitech. The mouse is the g602.

I update to the latest version of windows 10 now my wireless network adapter will not work. I am currently use my iPhone usb hotspot to connect to the internet on my desktop. I have tried the latest driver updates and uninstalling and reinstalling. I have also tried a clean install. I have tried taking the Network adapter out and putting it back in. now I am stumped. I am getting error code 10. and when I try latest drivers it says that the latest drivers are already installed.

2018-01-04T01:58:39+00:00 To give you some info, i have an amd fx6300 and nvidia 750ti graphics card. 750 watt power supply. I removed my optical drive because after the fall update, i couldnt download drivers for my gaming mouse and keyboard either. And my geforce experience would work. So i bought a ssd, removed my old hard drive and reinstalled windows 10. I just downloaded the usb install a week ago so it must have contained the fall update. However, when i went to recent updates, the fall updates were listed so i removed them. After fresh install Geforce experience wouldnt work, my mouse and keyboard drivers would install but crashed my system half a dozen times. I removed my optical drive, due to seeing that suggestion and ill be damned. After i removed it, i downloaded geforce experience and my mouse and keyboard drivers and they all worked. My network adapter still wasnt working. I am not sure if i ran msconfig as admin or not. Its a home pc, I beleive my only user has admin privlages but im not sure. I ran msconfig, checked that box, restarted and it worked immediately. I dont know what weird combo of these things caused it to work, but it didnt work until i ran msconfig, checked that box and restarted. It still works great, no issues anywhere. I never put my optical drive back in because i dont need it anyways. Also, i downloaded the network adapter drivers prior to doing all of these things. It just started working after restart.

a) What motherboard
b) What CPU version (perhaps including stepping)
c) What additional cards are installed
I would have expected the "Lock PCI bus" to be a no-op if the AC88 I upgraded to worked properly. Instead, "Lock PCI Bus" made my card go away as far as the system was concerned.
I will be getting back to you with all of this. I'm going to pull the PCE-AC88, put the PCE-AC66 back, reboot, and reconfigure to see what "Lock PCI Bus" does in that configuration. I'll post the results and the model designations of everything in my system when I do that.
