Updated computer now Asus PCE AC68 will not work

I update to the latest version of windows 10 now my wireless network adapter will not work. I am currently use my iPhone usb hotspot to connect to the internet on my desktop. I have tried the latest driver updates and uninstalling and reinstalling. I have also tried a clean install. I have tried taking the Network adapter out and putting it back in. now I am stumped. I am getting error code 10. and when I try latest drivers it says that the latest drivers are already installed.

    I had the same problem, and fixed it by doing this:

    1. Navigate to https://www.asus.com/us/Networking/PCEAC68/HelpDesk_Download/ and download the driver for Windows 10. (In my case it was Windows 10 64-bit).
    2. Open Device Manager by holding the Windows key and pressing R. I typed in devmgmt.msc and hit enter.
    3. Navigate to the yellow warning sign sitting under Network adapters and right-clicked it and selected Update driver.
    4. Select Browse my computer for driver software and choose the following path from the downloaded driver: [.....\UT_PCE_AC68_v2143\Driver\WIN10] and click Next. (For example, my full path was D:\UT_PCE_AC68_v2143\Driver\WIN10 but yours might easily be C:\Users[user]\Downloads\UT_PCE_AC68_v2143\Driver\WIN10 where your download was saved).
    5. Windows will install the driver correctly. The internet wasn't working for me right now, so I rebooted.
    6. Log back in, your internet will hopefully come back on in a few seconds.

    (Caveat, you must be connected to the internet over ethernet or save the driver on a separate computer and insert it into your computer with the faulty PCE-AC68 device via usb or cd)

    Just got it to work.  Ive tried everything and this worked immediately.  

    Hit windows button and R.  Then type msconfig.  Go to boot tab.  then click advanced options.  then look for pci lock on the left side.  check that box.  It askes to restart.  It worked immediately.   

    Thank you for posting, I rolled back twice because I wasn't able to fix it.  Tried various of the fixes that other people here tried without success.  Big thanks to your brother too!

    Agreed. I have tried this fix multiple times (in multiple ways) with clean installations of Fall Creators. Does not work.

    My PC:

    mobo: M5A99FX PRO R2.0

    CPU: AMD FX-8370

    memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 32GB DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900)
