After updating to the new version, I am seeing high CPU use from two processes:
Any ideas on how to make them not use a lot of CPU so that my laptop cools down and the fan stops blowing?

Had the same problem myself and found the solution which is quite simple :
Go to settings -> update & security -> Windows Defender -> Open Windows Defender -> Firewall & Network protection
Then you need to disable the firewall for all the types of networks
once that's done click on restore settings
That should do the trick and you're cpu usage should return to normal.

Interesting, maybe you are on to something, because I also use Connectify on the laptop and PC where I had the issue. However, this issue has been reported by many, many folks and Connectify is not mentioned.
Not just Connectify, but other wifi hotspot creating programs too. For example after I have uninstalled Connectify everything is back to normal again, no more high cpu usage and noise fan... I don't understand what did Microsoft change in Windows 10..
You only disable the firewall for a few seconds. As soon as you "restore settings" - the firewall is turned back on for all network types.
If you are worried about being hacked during the 15 seconds that your firewall needs to be disabled, simply disconnect from the internet.
Your fix does not work if you have Hyper-V enabled. Restoring settings on the firewall does.
It just needs doing once - and doesn't return after a reboot (I assume the problem was a rule that, once reset to default, stops the CPU from chewing clock-cycles for no reason). I would not recommend turning off windows defender.
