Microsoft Digital Image Suite on Win 10

I have been using Microsoft Digital Image Suite Anniversary Edition on my computer running Win. 10. However a factory reset removed it. In trying to reinstall, I get the message the IE6 is needed to run it.  Is there anyway I can continue to use this software with my Win10 64 bit platform? This program has been phenomenal  for the past 12 years and I want to continue with it rather than switch to another photo editing program.

    This solution is from surfacetablethelp.com posted on 7-13-18 - and worked for me.

    Install Microsoft Digital Image Suite on Windows 10

    * First close all running programs and open documents.

    * Double click on the Digital Image Suite setup file from you original disk.

    * If the User Account Control prompts you to give permission, just authorize it.

    * Select a few options available. When it says “The Windows Update: Internet Explorer and Internet Tools cannot be installed on this computer. This product does not install on 64-bit platforms.” message, click OK button to continue.

    * You will get the second usual error “Setup has detected that Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 installation was not completed. The installation may have been cancelled, or you may not have enough free space on your disk.” Don’t click it.

    Return to your desktop, press the Win+X from your keyboard, click on Shut down or sign out > Sign out. (Do NOT click on "Sign out anyway" - wait for system to signout by default)

    * Window 10 wait for intervention and cannot carry the operation. Wait a few seconds to sign in again, click on Cancel button > OK. Now the installation runs well.

    Follow these steps no 1 insert the installation software when you see the first error close it you gonna see another error messge dont close that one go to start left click and click sign out  no 2 wait 20 second and click cancel and your software will be install without any issue no 3 go to the program property and run the troubleshoot to fix the resoloution and you good to go my friend any question please email me at haimed710@ msn.com

    3 easy steps and you will install the software  1) lunch the installer you will see the first error message click OK dont click Ok on the second Error message 2) right click on the Start menue click on sign out 3) wait 20 second and click Cancel and your software will be install with no errors
