My setting for the Lock Screen was "Picture". I've tried to change it to "Windows Spotlight"  but after several seconds this setting is automatically re-set to "Picture" back?  Does this funcionality works?

What helps to get a new picture and not the default mountain/backpack one, is to do a disk cleanup (probably the clearing temp files) before clearing ContentDeliveryManager.

I'm still not getting "Like What You See" option though.

    As indicated:

The answer is simple, once you know it!

(Win10 Pro / 1709 /16299.192)  Settings > Privacy > Background Apps: Edge & Settings must be set to ON.

Completely delete: Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager (must have permission - easy way TakeOwnerShip Pro App) > restore (using PowerShell Admin. approach) Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager (no errors) > turn ON Edge & Settings > click Win Key + L > *Spotlight.*Now, it's not perfect: Options (Like What You See, etc.) don't appear on the login Spotlight but do appear when the Win Key+L is used to view *Spotlight.*Disclaimer: This worked for me...but...every user setup is different.  Question: Has the LockScreen > Creative registry key been removed from the 1709 / 16299.192 version?   If so, does anyone know why?

Update: all aspects for Spotlight have returned: "Like What You See", Preview, etc. all work....  The 'Creative' registry key was removed, rendered unnecessary, with the upgrade to 1709...that's why mine was empty.

You'll find a bat file here: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/82156-reset-re-register-windows-spotlight-windows-10-a-7.html  to get to delete and reset Microsoft Windows.ContentDeliveryManager in conjunction with making Edge & Settings are turned on...   Hope this helps.

    same problem here

i have tried EVERYTHING posted EVERYWHERE

i am on a Windows 10 Enterprise under my company domain

never managed to make spotlight work, it keeps resetting to "picture" no matter what i do

i dont know if there is a group license that resets it; i tried with a local machine administrator account, same story

anyone has any clues? WTH could be causing this?
