There is no email program associated to perform this requested action. Please install a email program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default program in Control Panel ?

GO TO MSN.COM AND LOOK FOR OUTLOOK.COM AT THE TOP LEFT OF THE SCREEN. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO CONNECT THAT WAY. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS.

I followed the link above https://www.kapilarya.com/there-is-no-email-program-associated-to-perform-the-requested-action-windows-10. I started Regedit and saw that there was no entry for Outlook there. There was an entry for Hotmail instead which I deleted. I also noticed that there was no entry for Mail in there, so after deleting the Hotmail branch the Clients\Mail folder became empty .

The default program for Email in Settings is Mail as recommended. Mail for Windows 10 is installed OK and I'm using it. Nevertheless when I try Send to from File Explorer, I'm still getting this annoying message. Is it because there's no entry for Mail in registry? How do I restore it?

SORRY BUT THE SOLUTION I SAID BEFORE IS THE ONLY ONE I KNOW.

I have the same issue. I've tried your (Kapil) solution but that didn't work. The error message only started after the recent big Windows update. I never had the problem before this update. I use Hotmail so and not Outlook express or whatever it's called these days. Even when I just started up Spotify, the error message shows up but it seems unrelated to email really. Thinking about resetting the computer now before the recent update but wanted to see if you have another solution at hand.

GO TO CORTANA SEARCH & TYPE "CORTANA SETTING" A SCREEN WILL COME UP LABELED "TALK TO CORTANA" SCCROLL DOWN TO WHERE IT SAYS "LET CORTANA ACCESS MY CALENDAR, EMAIL, MESSAGES, ETC" UNCHECK THAT BOX.  DO A RESTART. PROBLEM SOLVED. GOOD LUCK.
