There is no email program associated to perform this requested action. Please install a email program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default program in Control Panel ?

Thanks for replyingto myquestion.  Ihad already tried to do that and had no luck. Do you have any other suggestions?

I did most basic trouble shooting when working with someone experiencing this issue such as setting Outlook as the full default program, restarting the PC, but overall what seemed to fix all the outlook issues that were occurring was a a simple Office Repair. This is done in the control panel, programs and features, find Microsoft Office Suite, select it, hit change at the top, click repair, and do a quick repair. This should fix all issues. 

I'm experiencing this issue and don't have any Office Suite installed. My default email program, as I mentioned, is Mail Version 16005.10827.20186.0

I have tried multiple recommendations and I got rid of the message for some time, but recently it returned.

I believe, the root of the situation is that the error message lacks specifics and all the advice seem to come out of thin air. It is unclear why namely Cortana is considered to be the eternal culprit.

Could Microsoft produce an analyzer utility or something which could give a definitive answer what is the reason for the message/popup window?

I have a default program for email set to Mail, I have the setting "Contacts, emails, calendar & communcication history Set it ON." on and nevertheless the popups keep appearing on my screen.

I have the same problem. I may have accidentally deleted something. I'm poor so I couldn't afford MS Word on my new computer. So what I did was use the MS Office 2007 disk that came with my last computer in 2007. I figured since I have a product key and I purchased it Brand new that I could use it. It had windows Live Mail and Windows Live Essentials. Maybe when I uninstalled it something else went with with it because ever since then my email doesn't work. When I try the link offered by the very first person i get a "503 Service Unavailable. Its got to be that dam PC Matic . Nothing works now since I installed that. I fell for the commercial and bought it. I don't know what to think yet about PC Matic but my brand new computer now is all messed up. Meanwhile the machine i got in 2007 using Norton 360 never had a malware problem or any trouble with it  it still works too maxed out for a 2007. But Please somebody help me if they can. Thank you
