    same **** happened to me despite me being clearly online, not to mention all my full scans stop mid way through the scan, Microsoft fix this crap! and I cant manually defragment also

    For those of you who reporting difficulty with Definition Updates and you are on Windows 10 version 1703 and 1709, there is a new Windows Defender Security Center. Does the same thing happen when you attempt from there?

    I get notification that my anti virus needs updating but when i try to do it i get a notice saying it cannot be completed, check internet or network connection, i know i am connected also there is an error code 0x80070718

    I had the same problem a few days ago. When I closed the box that indicated the update issue the "LAST UPDATED" date changed. Previously when I have had the problem I have restarted my device and the update came thru.
