How to get reset protection recovery key

Thank you. I've already tried this and it didn't work. It said to get the key that I have to sign in to my account and remove the device, but no devices are showing up. Does Microsoft have a customer service number or something?

To be clear ONLY the person who activated the RESET PROTECTION will recieve the RPRK, if that is NOT you then you need to contact the SELLER for the RPRK, or return the item to the seller  as "NOT matching the description"

You appear to have not fully  understood the instructions in the document 93tid reply contained

It instructed me to disable reset recovery protection by removing my device on my windows account. And after removing the device, I would be provided with the recovery key. But when I log into my account, no devices are showing up.

You explained the membership, I assumed as the 640 was launched 2 years ago, new member, as new phone OK.

To turn off Reset Protection when you no longer own the phone

If someone has received your phone and you didn't turn off Reset Protection, the recipient won't be able to set up the phone. Here's what you can do:

1. Go to account.microsoft.com/devices.
2. Next to the phone you no longer own, select Remove phone.
3. *Select the I'm ready to remove my phone check box, note the recovery key, and then select Remove.*The recovery key will display on the page and will also be emailed to you.
4. When you're certain that you have your recovery key saved, select the I've kept a copy of the recovery key check box, and then select Okay.
5. Forward the recovery key email to your phone recipient.

Your phone is no longer listed on account.microsoft.com/devices, and the recipient can remove Reset Protection during phone set up using the Disable using recovery key option.

Check Reset Protection Status
