Try updating BIOS and VBIOS. Your issue is unrelated.
Actually, the new Intel gfx drivers from 7th of June seems fixed it. Needs more testing though.

Hi,
there is a problem with laptops which have Intel iGPU + GTX 1050/1050Ti/1060/1070. The problem is whenever you perform some action on the OS, discrete GPU is triggered and it causes a 0.5s freeze.
Some actions, which causes the dGPU to wake up and lock up the whole system for about 0,5 seconds are:
Since the problem was OS based, it could be found on all laptop brands: ASUS, Acer, Clevo, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, MSI, Razer.
This is nearly a three-year-old bug:

Hi everyone,
With the latest KB4284848 the problem is partially solved. The community and I have tested the build and we can confirm that it fixes most of the freezes.
There are still some problems though. Some freezes left within the Edge browser
and File Explorer. Please post your feedback!

Hello,
I have a question: does the freeze problem affects battery life too? I mean, the continuous triggering of the dGPU could reduce battery life right? Because while using Youtube or Twitch my aero 15 (1-7700hq) battery life is like 5 hours, i think it should be a little more. Correct me if i am wrong.
been following this issue since February this year on the intel forums.
I notice freezes with a lot of small things such closing an app such as edge, geforce experience, settings, etc. It is so annoying. Microsoft should have fixed this so long ago I just don't understand it. They don't seem to be fixing the root cause either, just the freezes themselves. Its strange.
I have the same problemI have the same problem in Samsung Odyssey HD630 + Nvidia GTX 1050
got a MSI GE72mVR Apache Pro ( gtx 1070 - i7700 HQ ) , same problem. MSI support wasn't able to tell me nothing about this problem. Still no news from microsoft ?
