This is a reply to thread in general. I can say after using v1803 on my Dell 7577 laptop (1060) for a few weeks, the micro stutters and freezing are totally gone.
Yeah, I'm sure about that.........

Hi,
there is a problem with laptops which have Intel iGPU + GTX 1050/1050Ti/1060/1070. The problem is whenever you perform some action on the OS, discrete GPU is triggered and it causes a 0.5s freeze.
Some actions, which causes the dGPU to wake up and lock up the whole system for about 0,5 seconds are:
Since the problem was OS based, it could be found on all laptop brands: ASUS, Acer, Clevo, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, MSI, Razer.
This is nearly a three-year-old bug:

Hi everyone,
With the latest KB4284848 the problem is partially solved. The community and I have tested the build and we can confirm that it fixes most of the freezes.
There are still some problems though. Some freezes left within the Edge browser
and File Explorer. Please post your feedback!

Yeah, I'm sure about that.........
I also doubt it. Went back to 1803 from the Insider latest version (I just don't like the ideea of alpha and beta versions) and the freezes are back.

Hi all,
I have MSI GP72MVR Leopard Pro gaming laptop and have this same issue. I've noticed that is there a workaround for this problem, but unfortunately it's only working before next computer shut down or restart. You must open device manager and disable Intel graphic card and then enable it again after that problem is solved until you restart or shut down the computer.
If disabling and reenabling the intel gpu solve the problem. Then the best thing to have is to implement a script that does that every time you shut down or restart the laptop.does the problem come back when you wake up from sleep?
are you sure that all the stutters and freezes are gone after the dis/enable of intel gpu?

Disabling and re-enabling Intel does not solve the issue. We are all really bored of people coming here and providing their nonsense so-called fixes.
BTW, Build 17682 still has first time Display Settings dGPU tiggering and freeze problem...
