Hi,
there is a problem with laptops which have Intel iGPU + GTX 1050/1050Ti/1060/1070. The problem is whenever you perform some action on the OS, discrete GPU is triggered and it causes a 0.5s freeze.
Some actions, which causes the dGPU to wake up and lock up the whole system for about 0,5 seconds are:
Since the problem was OS based, it could be found on all laptop brands: ASUS, Acer, Clevo, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, MSI, Razer.
This is nearly a three-year-old bug:

Hi everyone,
With the latest KB4284848 the problem is partially solved. The community and I have tested the build and we can confirm that it fixes most of the freezes.
There are still some problems though. Some freezes left within the Edge browser
and File Explorer. Please post your feedback!

Yes Edge problem is still there... it freezes at the first start.... We should test if there is something left..
You can use: NVIDIA Optimus GPU State Viewer to check if there is still something that triggers GPU! I will start by tonight... but I can't test everything... we need the others reports too!
On Windows 10 v 1803 (build 17134.48), just installed NVIDIA GeForce Driver 397.93, still getting micro-freezes on Display Settings via right click, Battery click and Firefox new tabs rendering (that's all I tested for now).
Still waiting for Hot Fix - hope I don't have to wait until the Fall.
You already noticed that Explorer is fixed, did not know it was from GeFreeze though, hahaha :)))
Remaining indeed is Edge(first video playback) and most of the times when the resolution is changed, I usually switch between 1600x900 to 1920x1080 so I have noticed the freeze a lot and even tested it with the GPU state tool.
Just updated to 17677 and Edge freeze seems to be fixed, can anyone confirm this as well?
Changing resolutions still freezes the system.
