Hi,
there is a problem with laptops which have Intel iGPU + GTX 1050/1050Ti/1060/1070. The problem is whenever you perform some action on the OS, discrete GPU is triggered and it causes a 0.5s freeze.
Some actions, which causes the dGPU to wake up and lock up the whole system for about 0,5 seconds are:
Since the problem was OS based, it could be found on all laptop brands: ASUS, Acer, Clevo, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, MSI, Razer.
This is nearly a three-year-old bug:

Hi everyone,
With the latest KB4284848 the problem is partially solved. The community and I have tested the build and we can confirm that it fixes most of the freezes.
There are still some problems though. Some freezes left within the Edge browser
and File Explorer. Please post your feedback!

you can install lates Skip Ahead Build and its lag free.
ctrl+shift+win+b (graphic driver restart) seems to fix the issue with file explorer. Opening speed is the same as if dgpu is disabled in device manager, and dpgu stays off. It feels like upgrading from hdd to ssd, instant opening lol
It lasts till reboot, but its just a quick key combo... Try it out, maybe it will work for you too.
I recently purchased the MSI GL62M 7REX-1067. This is the biggest issue I'm facing which I posted on reddit:
"I just received a new MSI GL62M 7REX-1067 laptop, I did a clean install of Windows 10 when I got it. Everything is fully updated and works very well.
However, I have this lag when opening the file explorer from the taskbar. After doing research for a couple of days, I have read several people having this issue. From my understanding, it's not faulty hardware but a driver issue.
My laptop has integrated graphics and the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. If I disable the GeForce, in device manager, all the lag goes away. The GeForce does great playing and rendering video. I'm not a gamer but I tested it on a few games and it did great there also.
Has anyone else experienced this or know a fix? Thanks!"
I'm glad to know, that more people are aware of this issue, hopefully Intel, nVidia, and/or Microsoft can present a permanent fix for this very soon!
I hope this is true, because i have the same problem, in my new HP OMEN 15-CE005NS...
Please add ASUS ROG Strix GL502V with GXT1070 mobile.
