Hi, there is a problem with laptops which have Intel iGPU + GTX 1050/1050Ti/1060/1070. The problem is whenever you perform some action on the OS, discrete GPU is triggered and it causes a 0.5s freeze. Some actions, which causes the dGPU to wake up and lock up the whole system for about 0,5 seconds are: Right click on desktop Left click on battery-icon in task-bar Opening Chrome-browser Opening Windows Image Viewer (app + classic Foto viewer) Opening system control panel Provocation any animation on task bar (e.g. thumbnail-preview, ...) Loading a new tab in Firefox Since the problem was OS based, it could be found on all laptop brands: ASUS, Acer, Clevo, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, MSI, Razer . This preview build runs much better then even 1703 did for me on my Alienware R3 1060 7700HQ OLED But now i have a new issue and just wondered even though it is not directly related to this particular issue I installed Avast under this new preview build and it green screens of death and wondered if anyone else is running Avast ?. Had to boot into safe mode under the preview to get it uninstalled then everything was OK I rolled back to 1709 installed Avast with no issues but id prefer to say on the preview build because how much better it seems to run.

The 17650 THERE ARE STILL STUTTERS AND FREEZES!!!! FILE EXPLORER from taskbar you'll notice the stutters...

To be honest, Windows 10 1803 17643 is night and day compared to 1709, looking at mouse stutters, freezes and overall OS performance in the desktop. It's not perfect, I have a Dell, so it's promising, if Dell says there is a problem and hotfix will be released soon. I hope for us, in Insider Preview, we will get it next week. I'm upgrading to 17650. BTW - MS Update always wants to roll back Intel HD drivers to old ones. WTF is that?

Hi,

With the latest KB4284848 the problem is partially solved. The community and I have tested the build and we can confirm that it fixes most of the freezes.
