Hi,
there is a problem with laptops which have Intel iGPU + GTX 1050/1050Ti/1060/1070. The problem is whenever you perform some action on the OS, discrete GPU is triggered and it causes a 0.5s freeze.
Some actions, which causes the dGPU to wake up and lock up the whole system for about 0,5 seconds are:
Since the problem was OS based, it could be found on all laptop brands: ASUS, Acer, Clevo, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, MSI, Razer.
This is nearly a three-year-old bug:

Hi everyone,
With the latest KB4284848 the problem is partially solved. The community and I have tested the build and we can confirm that it fixes most of the freezes.
There are still some problems though. Some freezes left within the Edge browser
and File Explorer. Please post your feedback!

Good morning dude; we have established this by now, and I never said that this was a hardware problem.
But, it's great to hear that 1703 is doing better. I'll check it out in the spring, I guess. With the POS that is Windows 10, I really have no taste for leaning even further out of the window than I already am even by using a regular "supported" version of Windows. Going from the eternal beta that is regular Windows 10 to something that probably would have to be described as alpha software is not something I can justify in a production environment...
As an aside, I have started to transition to macOS now, and may be leaving the Windows world soon anyhow. Compared to Windows 10 that system suddenly doesn't look so bad anymore.
i have same question too
please fix this problem
I waiting for this fix half year since I bought notebook with optimus and it seems noone pay attention. It is very disappoint! Next notebook change will be on iOS, definetely.
I am going back to Manjaro linux. Everyone has good luck with this software garbage.
