Hi, there is a problem with laptops which have Intel iGPU + GTX 1050/1050Ti/1060/1070. The problem is whenever you perform some action on the OS, discrete GPU is triggered and it causes a 0.5s freeze. Some actions, which causes the dGPU to wake up and lock up the whole system for about 0,5 seconds are: Right click on desktop Left click on battery-icon in task-bar Opening Chrome-browser Opening Windows Image Viewer (app + classic Foto viewer) Opening system control panel Provocation any animation on task bar (e.g. thumbnail-preview, ...) Loading a new tab in Firefox Since the problem was OS based, it could be found on all laptop brands: ASUS, Acer, Clevo, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, MSI, Razer . There is nowhere on this thread that states 1803 RTM solves the problem. It is only partially fixed in RS5.

I want to confirm that the freezing problems have not been fixed. I just made a clean installation of version 1803 build 17134.48 on Lenovo Legion Y520. I will not overlook if I say the problem is getting worse than the previous version. I even came across something strange. I installed the latest intel driver 24.20.100.6025 and everything was ok until the momentwindows update downloaded and installed last year driver version 20.23.16.4849. what the hell is going on. will anyone explain to me what is this selfishness on the part of windows 10. What is happening is a complete absurdity. There is no analogue to the lack of chaos that they show from the support of the Microsoft.

Disabling dedicated GPU won't put it in idle state, but rather a working state without optimized power management. You might get even worse battery life than keep the dedicated GPU on. This has been explained in this thread.

Does anyone know why or how the Laptop has less battery life when the dedicated GPU is disabled in device manager? normally i get 6-7 hours when i do not disable it. But obviously the stutter is killing me.when i disable dgpu i get 4h to 4h30.with the tray app i get roughly 5h.
