Hi, there is a problem with laptops which have Intel iGPU + GTX 1050/1050Ti/1060/1070. The problem is whenever you perform some action on the OS, discrete GPU is triggered and it causes a 0.5s freeze. Some actions, which causes the dGPU to wake up and lock up the whole system for about 0,5 seconds are: Right click on desktop Left click on battery-icon in task-bar Opening Chrome-browser Opening Windows Image Viewer (app + classic Foto viewer) Opening system control panel Provocation any animation on task bar (e.g. thumbnail-preview, ...) It appears that I have a similar issue. I have an Origin Laptop with the 1070 MaxQ and HD Graphics 630. The system functions fine if I disable the HD Graphics 630 in device manager. Of course this has other issues, including battery life and I am also unable to put the computer to sleep or adjust brightness, but it runs perfect. I have been told by technical support that it is a "ping pong ball" between Microsoft and Intel. Both blame each other and that I simply need to wait. What worries me is how long this thread has been open. It appears that Intel has pretty much closed the issue and I am waiting on Microsoft. Hope there will eventually be a fix.

I bought this notebook and after installing windows 10 pro, everything went correctly. The problem started EXACTLY when the nvidia drivers were installed (and if i had previously installed intel drivers). I have been installing drivers one by one, until I have detected that the cause of the problem is this. When opening some applications, the mouse remains stopped for a few milliseconds, something unacceptable in a notebook of these characteristics. This problem is present when opening a lot of applications, some examples are Chrome, Firefox, and it is also noticed for example when pressing on the battery button of windows 10, located in the lower right corner of the screen . I have not tested more applications since I have the PC clean and almost no applications but I'm afraid there will be many more. Its clear where is the problem, because when I deactivate the gtx1060 graphics card from the device manager, there are no problems with micro-freezes or micro-stuttering when opening applications. I am using the unofficial TrayPwrD3 application in order to be using everytime the GTX 1060, but this is not practical and optimal. I have Windows 10 completely updated to the last version with all the updates (windows 10 pro 1803 build). I have tried different nvidia drivers of the msi website (391.48) and also the last official ones (398.11) tested. I have tried different drivers from intel graphics card. Everytime the same problem. Could some can help with this?

The link I've sent on intel forums with windows 7 drivers (intel 630 + folder with intel thermal) I think it had the correct driver for intel dynamic platform ? Or it was wrong? Is it safe to use that software? Are the drivers compatible? Has it also updated the intel 630 drivers? Also how do you find the power options are different than in windows 10? Where do you find them?

Thanks for testing mate! I think the software screenshots can't include sub-pixel smoothing since it's a hardware method. Probably can be compared only by taking a photo of the monitor close up with and without Cleartype. But if you see it looking identical there then probably it's the same as Win10. Best wishes

Hi,
