Just saw a new freeze(for me): sometimes when I have notifications and click on Open Action Centre to see them it freezes...

Hi,
there is a problem with laptops which have Intel iGPU + GTX 1050/1050Ti/1060/1070. The problem is whenever you perform some action on the OS, discrete GPU is triggered and it causes a 0.5s freeze.
Some actions, which causes the dGPU to wake up and lock up the whole system for about 0,5 seconds are:
Since the problem was OS based, it could be found on all laptop brands: ASUS, Acer, Clevo, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, MSI, Razer.
This is nearly a three-year-old bug:

Hi everyone,
With the latest KB4284848 the problem is partially solved. The community and I have tested the build and we can confirm that it fixes most of the freezes.
There are still some problems though. Some freezes left within the Edge browser
and File Explorer. Please post your feedback!

Hello Alex.
I have the exact same laptop and I'm facing the exact same issues as everybody else does.
I just stumbled upon your comment and wanted to make sure that I got it right.
So what you're saying is that the freezes should no longer exist on future versions? They really drive me mad and tried fixing them myself, but nothing worked.
One more thing I would like to ask you is: can you still notice micro-freezes if you're using the touchpad?
I don't think I've noticed any stutters while using the touchpad, so maybe my issue is mouse related?
I hope to hear from you soon.
On Windows 10 v 1803 (build 17134.48), just installed NVIDIA GeForce Driver 397.93, still getting micro-freezes on Display Settings via right click, Battery click and Firefox new tabs rendering (that's all I tested for now).
Still waiting for Hot Fix - hope I don't have to wait until the Fall.
I think this entire issue is really strange. M$ never openly talked about this problem, and seems to invest very little effort to solve this bug, and there are almost no computer/software reviews talking about this.
Looks like this bug can reveal some commercial secrets of M$. I don't understand. How can such a big company selling such defective product? Or does M$ really think it has monopolized the market, so it has enough courage to be so arrogant?
This is one of the most popular topic in the entire forum... 2600+ votes... I don't know what should we do more? Set our laptops on fire in front of MS building?
