Hi,
there is a problem with laptops which have Intel iGPU + GTX 1050/1050Ti/1060/1070. The problem is whenever you perform some action on the OS, discrete GPU is triggered and it causes a 0.5s freeze.
Some actions, which causes the dGPU to wake up and lock up the whole system for about 0,5 seconds are:
Since the problem was OS based, it could be found on all laptop brands: ASUS, Acer, Clevo, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, MSI, Razer.
This is nearly a three-year-old bug:

Hi everyone,
With the latest KB4284848 the problem is partially solved. The community and I have tested the build and we can confirm that it fixes most of the freezes.
There are still some problems though. Some freezes left within the Edge browser
and File Explorer. Please post your feedback!

Windows 10 1803 Build 17134.137 has NOT fixed my freezing problem on my HP Pavilion7 laptop on either Edge or IE. I still have to re-boot ALL THE TIME. EXTREMELY IRRITATING!!!!!!
I am not saying that these normal operations don't need GPU, I am trying to know why they keep triggering dGPU in Windows 10. Anyway we still have an Intel iGPU and isn't it capable of drawing some thumbnails in file explorer?
This is crazy. Why are these normal operations which in theory should have nothing to do with GPU switch keep triggering dGPU? This should be a fundamental flaw in windows 10 design, but now this whole crappy OS has too many codes and M$ don't have enough man power to fix it.
Just because you dont understand or have no insight into how Windows works, doesnt mean things are like you think they are. Mostly everything these days is GPU accelerated in Windows, even the Windows Explorer for drawing quickly large tree structures, thumbnails, video preview, ect.
Guys, the problems returns after the closing of games (!)
The key from windows 10 will fit to 8.1?
