Hi,
there is a problem with laptops which have Intel iGPU + GTX 1050/1050Ti/1060/1070. The problem is whenever you perform some action on the OS, discrete GPU is triggered and it causes a 0.5s freeze.
Some actions, which causes the dGPU to wake up and lock up the whole system for about 0,5 seconds are:
Since the problem was OS based, it could be found on all laptop brands: ASUS, Acer, Clevo, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, MSI, Razer.

Hi everyone,
With the latest KB4284848 the problem is partially solved. The community and I have tested the build and we can confirm that it fixes most of the freezes.
There are still some problems though. Some freezes left within the Edge browser
and File Explorer. Please post your feedback!

Cool, when I installed Windows 8.1 then I receive on greeting message box with information that my hardware is not supported. This same for Windows 7 and other, this notebook is a crap. I just must give it back to the shop and get my hard worked money
If you be a programmer and when you need Ruby then you will speak something else :) There are things that will work better than on Windows, so I need both of them, but I can't because of the problem with this stupid laptop. I decided to buy this device because of strong processor, strong graphic card, RAM, storage and I get ****.
So i ve installed windows 8.1 on my laptop dell 7567. Impressions are very very good. I have installed all drivers and a custom driver for intel 630. Windows 8.1 is like having a new laptop. Boot took about 3-4 seconds less , everything opens in a snap . even with the fix in thefuture i m not sure windows 10 will ever be this fast.
However i ve noticed a strange issue . Whenever i am downloading or streaming my bluetooth mouse lags. Once i stop downloading,, it works fine. I ve tried changing a couple of settings in intel 3165 wireless but nothing worked. I m not sure if the custom intel 630 deiver has anything to do with it. Any ideas how to fix this?
What linux problem? I never use linux on optimus laptop because nvidia and linux are just not good together. It was like that years ago and it still is!
How do you deal with huge CPU throttling due to Spectre/Meltdown patches being unoptimized for Win 7/8/8.1? I've heard CPU performance plummets on anything that's not running Windows 10. That is, of course, unless you've opted out of the patches.
BTW I was hoping Luke or James would mention this specific issue.. I guess that's a start though.
