Yesterday the game worked fine, but now today on July 7th when I launch the game to play, I get the error message saying "check your account" when my account is fine, so I tried to restart the PC and didn't worked, then when I uninstall the game to reinstall, I can't reinstall it because it keeps giving me the same error message with this error code: 0x803F8001. I even runned wsreset.exe to clear the cache, restore the Windows store to default and restarted the PC again, but nothing worked. I can install other apps and games with no problem.

Any help would be appreciated, please.

Solved my Problem ... wsreset - logout Store account (used normal an in game) logged in with my Company Account - download Asphalt with that account (never done before !!!!) got license - after download logged in Store with own account - start game and loaded Cloud data ... worked !

the main Problem is the store and the account - simply get a new ms account for tempoary download and use your own account after download to start an Play game ... have fun ... best greetz eddl69

    Hi Oliver.

Hope the below helps? It did in my case..........

Thank you to all who have contributed/read the issues for which I was having with Asphalt 8 error 0x803F8001. What I found that worked as a "FIX" was creating a new user, switching to that account so ctrl, alt, delete - switch users, then go to store and download Asphalt 8. Yes it will download. Then ctrl, alt, delete - switch users again back to your original user. Go back to store and it downloads. Hope this works for everyone. Thank you.

Gameloft is aware http://support.gameloft.com/OnlineAndSocial/showSelection/283/ (Cannot enter the game on Windows device (error code 0x803F8001) )

    Here's the workaround that works

    1. Sign out from the Store
    2. In Settings > Accounts, unlink your Microsoft Account (switch to a local account).
    3. In Settings > Accounts, link your local account to another Microsoft Account (create one, if needed)
    4. Sign in to the Store and download the game
    5. Now sign out from the store, unlink the current Microsoft account, link your old one, sign in to the store and open the game

P.S. The UI is lagging, though, and the app is not usable. This could be the fast ring build problem (16237), but other apps seem fine.
