Yesterday the game worked fine, but now today on July 7th when I launch the game to play, I get the error message saying "check your account" when my account is fine, so I tried to restart the PC and didn't worked, then when I uninstall the game to reinstall, I can't reinstall it because it keeps giving me the same error message with this error code: 0x803F8001. I even runned wsreset.exe to clear the cache, restore the Windows store to default and restarted the PC again, but nothing worked. I can install other apps and games with no problem.

Any help would be appreciated, please.

Solved my Problem ... wsreset - logout Store account (used normal an in game) logged in with my Company Account - download Asphalt with that account (never done before !!!!) got license - after download logged in Store with own account - start game and loaded Cloud data ... worked !

the main Problem is the store and the account - simply get a new ms account for tempoary download and use your own account after download to start an Play game ... have fun ... best greetz eddl69

I just got problem today 07/12/2017 and remembered

To sign into the Xbox app and sign to my Microsoft windows account not as a Standard account.

This link --->  How to sign into your Microsoft Account

I had this problem with Asphalt Extreme and Sniper Fury, till I started playing around with my Microsoft windows account..

I started running some games and apps from the windows store while signed out of my Microsoft Account, some apps worked, but the games gave me the error " CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT ".

I think most of the windows store game and some apps will not run less you sign into you Microsoft account when the computer starts.

Once I signed into the Xbox app on windows 10 and my Microsoft windows account Asphalt 8: Air Born is up and running.

I'm using a Surface 3 Pro, Win 10 PC. I had the same error message and had already proceeded to uninstall the game to try a reinstall. Which failed miserably.

Now, I basically used Sachin's idea as a template for my own tryout:

    1. I logged off my username (Microsoft account) from the PC
    2. I logged on using my wife's Microsoft account
    3. I opened Windows Store using my wife's Microsoft account
    4. I tried downloading/installing Asphalt Airborne - I got no error code, so I (prematurely) ended the download/install
    5. Logged off as widfe, logged on as me
    6. Entered store as me, downloaded/installed the game without fault

    I'm back!

I did lose the Porsche GT3RS, however, with only 2 races to go. What will Gameloft do about that?

    1. Create new outlook account
    2. sign off current account from store
    3. sign in with new account in store
    4. install asphalt 8
    5. sign in with original account

    This works for me. :)

    Hi NL,

Yes. I thought originally if I uninstall/install would fix it but it didn't. So what I did has been the only think that has worked than any other good suggestion was. Thank you.
