Yesterday the game worked fine, but now today on July 7th when I launch the game to play, I get the error message saying "check your account" when my account is fine, so I tried to restart the PC and didn't worked, then when I uninstall the game to reinstall, I can't reinstall it because it keeps giving me the same error message with this error code: 0x803F8001. I even runned wsreset.exe to clear the cache, restore the Windows store to default and restarted the PC again, but nothing worked. I can install other apps and games with no problem.
Any help would be appreciated, please.

Solved my Problem ... wsreset - logout Store account (used normal an in game) logged in with my Company Account - download Asphalt with that account (never done before !!!!) got license - after download logged in Store with own account - start game and loaded Cloud data ... worked !
the main Problem is the store and the account - simply get a new ms account for tempoary download and use your own account after download to start an Play game ... have fun ... best greetz eddl69
Hey guess what? I got mine fixed already yesterday now!
I just need to make a new local account and log into that, start the download and then cancel it, log out from the new account and log back into my main account and finally it started to reinstall.
It's sad for me that I missed so many time limited events and 3 daily login rewards because of this issue.
Okay, let's follow this path then. And bear with me, I don't even use Windows 10, I use 7 HP and Pro exclusively on my Windows boxes. It still shouldn't matter,you're going to have these problems across OS versions and other factors.
WHICH version of Windows (10 or otherwise is currently installed on your machines?
What brand and model, or motherboard if it's homebrewed, specs and cards etc. ?
Can you find all the updates installed since right before you started having troubles and list them? A week before might really help.
Do you have any updates that have failed and never seemed to install?
Can you roll back to a restore point prior to that time in System Restore?
What happens?
The problem is there are a lot of you with a vague complaint of a Microsoft cause and nothing of substance to give a clue.
And there are well over 60 posts and several different posters in this thread, few to none of them have done anything but say ME TOO.
Magic doesn't work in this realm :) Let's start with all of you giving a rundown of what I asked for. Then a moderator will have to split all of you off to your own threads, I'm not a moderator. You should also use the search function on this site to try and find similar topics and maybe answers. AS I said before use an online search engine as well and use some query like July 2017 Windows Update problems (or June even).
There is a TON of information to be had this way, I know as I do this frequently.

Well, first of all, this is a VOLUNTEER, Peer to Peer site that's hosted by Microsoft about solving problems with Microsoft programs and other products. Something hosted on one of their stores may not be an actual Microsoft product. If that's the case then you need to contact the maker not Microsoft. Microsoft only real redress is to inform that maker of the problem. If the problem arose from a change to Microsoft software of hardware they can choose to, or NOT. If you read the TOS for any of their products, and for the makers of this game, you will know what to do.
Microsoft is not responsible for changes to third-party products and software any more than Burger King is responsible for what McDonalds does or doesn't do. You've just admitted that other software they make has these 'issues'. They aren't issues here. Complaining here will not fix your 'issues'. When and if you can find a problem with something from Microsoft that is a causal factor, do bring that to the Community's attention.
I completely agree with you, BUT the problem (at least with me) came up in two games (Asphalt 8 and 2020: My Country) with two different developers (Gameloft and Game Insight), and happened right after the last Windows update. I refuse to believe that this was such a coincidence, and caused ONLY by the game itself or the developers.
And if they (Microsoft) roll out an update, fixing the issue without the developers having taken any official corrective action, then I will confirm that it is a Microsoft-only issue, and it took too long to fix. Same as the last issue that affected several mass users of external HD that Windows only recognized in RAW format instead of NTFS (it took about 1 month to correct it).
