Windows Apps such as the Windows Store, Calculator app, Skype app, and Mail app usually do not open fully on the first try. The app window will show up, but the functions are not available. I will only see the logo of the app in the center of the solid theme color.
However, if I close the window and reopen the app, it will work fine.
Does anyone know how to fix this so that an app will open normally the first time?
(I have attached a picture of the Calculator app to demonstrate the problem.)

One of the possible reasons why you're having issues opening your Windows apps is due to corrupted system files on your computer. We recommend that you run the troubleshooter for Windows apps and follow the on-screen instructions to address this matter.
