Windows 10 Creators Update: Keyboard lagging

I have tried everything imaginable to resolve the keyboard lag issue.  I do want to tell you that it is intermittent.  For example, I have accessed this site page via Chrome and while typing, I have found it to be smooth so far.  However, in other websites in Chrome or Firefox (which I have to use for work purposes), the lag is simply unbearable since characters are dropped and normal text converts to meaningless garbage that requires constant manual editing and correction (by the way, the lag has begun again while typing this).

I re-installed Windows 10 last night (this machine was Windows 7 bundle originally), checked all drivers for keyboard and elsewhere, updated browsers and cleared caches.  Despite all of this, the keyboard lag continues.  Anything else to try?

Got "Creator studio" update on my Windows laptop (Lenovo Yoga 3.14) today.

After that, laptop keyboard is completely useless because of lag and random skips of keys pressed.

I have to connect external keyboard to write this text.

Trackpad, external keyboard and mouse work fine. Issue only affects laptop keyboard.

Yep, the same problem on the same laptop...

When I updated to Creators Update, it seems to me there were no any problems, but it started to appear approx. 1 week ago. 

When it happened for the first time, I restarted my laptop and problem was solved, but today it doesn’t help... The only way to type is to use touch screen keyboard, which is hard to use for typing long texts

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It looks like this case is not isolated to just one case, as all the post on this thread seems to be having the same issue after the update. Nevertheless, we would like to suggest a few basic troubleshooting step, so that we can eliminate all the other factors that could cause the issue, before we point our fingers to the update.

With that being said, I would like to suggest to check for driver updates, particularly with the keyboard and mouse, as a first troubleshooting step. Kindly refer to this link for more information and help regarding driver updates.

I am also having this problem.  What the heck is going on.   My keyboard is virtually useless.  I'm thinkin I will simply rollback the update now.

 Why would I have to "update the drivers" when I was simply moving to the latest Windows 10 Creator version.  It's a keyboard!  Not some specialized hardware.  It shows up the most when I try to use IE11.  Please don't ask me to switch to Edge because the layout is very annoyingly difficult to use with it's fade in and out scroll  bars.

I'm quite sure it's tied to the latest Microsoft Update.
