Windows 10 Creators Update: Keyboard lagging

After updating to the Creators Update, mykeyboard has been lagging, with a few seconds of normal typing, there are significant delay where keystrokes will not register.

Have already checked for updated drivers and troubleshooted, both to no avail.

    Hi,

    There are several reasons why you are experiencing this problem and that's what we are going to figure out. This type of issue normally happens when there's a hardware failure or software change made on the computer prior to this concern. Before we proceed with the troubleshooting steps, we would like to know more about this concern. Kindly answer the questions below:

    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
    • Are you using an external keyboard? If so, have you tried using a different keyboard to isolate this issue?

    Hi,

    I solved the issue by uninstalling updates.  All the way back to when this issue started in April 20, 2017.  They automatically reinstalled themselves eventually but the problem did not come back.   I did NOT reinstall any drivers as suggested by the moderator for this forum.  Could have simply been the order of installation.    I have no idea how or why this worked. 

    I think that Microsoft has no idea why this is happening.  As well, I do not use MS Edge at all.  Similar issues there.  I use IE11.

    Why do these "official" responses even exist? The people clearly don't even read the questions, and if they do, they don't understand what's being asked. This entire site is worse than useless because it's also infuriating. You'd be better off scrapping your support site and at least not looking like a lazy, stupid company.

    Got "Creator studio" update on my Windows laptop (Lenovo Yoga 3.14) today.

    After that, laptop keyboard is completely useless because of lag and random skips of keys pressed.

    I have to connect external keyboard to write this text.

    Trackpad, external keyboard and mouse work fine. Issue only affects laptop keyboard.

    I am also having this problem.  What the heck is going on.   My keyboard is virtually useless.  I'm thinkin I will simply rollback the update now.

     Why would I have to "update the drivers" when I was simply moving to the latest Windows 10 Creator version.  It's a keyboard!  Not some specialized hardware.  It shows up the most when I try to use IE11.  Please don't ask me to switch to Edge because the layout is very annoyingly difficult to use with it's fade in and out scroll  bars.

    I'm quite sure it's tied to the latest Microsoft Update.
