Windows 10 SmartScreen- "check apps and files" options greyed out

Hello Rey Cam,

I have tried all the resolutions in the thread but I can go through them. Oh sorry about the late reply I think my spam filter was messed up I fixed it today and suddenly MESSAGES!! Ok I don't have any antivirus programs on my system but Microsoft Defender Security Center. Windows is fully updated. I have run system file checker SFC /scannow as admin. I am beginning to think perhaps this is something for mobile 10? I have also disabled and re-enabled it in Turn windows features on or off. Not sure there is anything else to try Defender seems to work ok. I have never trusted Microsoft to "Police themselves" sort of speak the OS is rough in some parts but it is workable almost any antivirus program they offer is lacking (sorry guys) I normally use AVG Free but I don't have it on this machine because I didn't like the notifications I was getting when I had Windows 8 installed. Hope this helps (Also did a clean install)

Do I understand, that it works now? I cannot determine that from the above message.

In my case it doesnot The issue still persist.

Am also out of my possibilities.

What is the level of your User account control?

Try to lower it down and restart your pc and check if helps?

If not you may need to submit a report through feedback hub to report this to Microsoft engineers.

When will there be a normal answer about this issue ?

Pls Microsoft can you help to solve this problem

Apps and files are still greyed out and there is no way to configure.

Perhaps we should ditch defender all together if Ms does not even know themselves how to solve this.

By the way Win 10 latest update works fine. No issues except for defender.
